The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement for systems engineering and technical publications support for the Navy's C-20 series aircraft. The anticipated contract type is Indefinite Quantity, Time and Materials. Specific services to fulfill this requirement shall include: defining solutions to design critical questions uncovered during MISHAP/Engineering Investigations; defining scope, depth, type, and frequency of structural inspections to forewarn of structural degradation; engineering repairs and modifications to restore component failure resistance and reduce future risk potential; and, conducting fatigue life studies and service life extension studies to validate aircraft service life. Tasks will require access to design and production drawings, which are proprietary to the original equipment manufacturer, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation.
