Castay (504) 862-2872 The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement for the appraisal of approximately 100,000 acres of wooded land located in the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway System, Louisiana. This property consists of approximately 500 individual parcels to be appraised. The Corps intends to award two (2) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, task order contracts for appraisal services as a result of this solicitation. Responsible contractors will have the following qualifications: 1) The ability to analyze and calculate the impact to value, of timber harvesting restrictions imposed by an easement, on wooded property. 2) Experience in valuation of complex or non-standard easements (less than fee value) using the Federal ''before and after'' method. 3) Experience in the appraisal of wooded land. 4) Experience in providing expert testimony in Federal Court. 5) Ability to complete at least 10 (ten) ownership appraisals during a one (1) month period. 6) Current Louisiana certification and at least one professional affiliation.
