20521-2010 S -- ELECTRIC SERVICES SOL RFP NO. 624-96-P-002 DUE 061496 POC John R.
Taber, Regional Contracting Officer, REDSO/WCA/OP (Abidjan, Cote
d'Ivoire, Tel: (225) 41-45-28; FAX Nos: (225) 41-35-44 or (225)
41-34-60; Internet address: jtaber@usaid.gov. USAID requests proposals
from licensed electrical firms or individuals to perform the upgrade
of the general electrical system in its office buildings in Abidjan,
Cote d'Ivoire. Following a fire and life safety inspection, it was
recommended that USAID/Cote d'Ivoire evaluate electrical installations
in its office buildings. USAID/Cote d'Ivoire contracted a local
consultant to undertake a comprehensive study and evaluation of the
electrical installations of its office buildings. The consultant
presented his report with several recommendations which involve major
electrical improvements to the facilities. This Request For Proposals
(RFP) is therefore being issued for procurement of the upgrading of the
electrical installations in accordance with the recommendations of the
consultant which are included in the RFP document. This is a
performance-based, results oriented activity, in which proposals will
be reviewed, award made, and implementation monitored and rewarded
based upon the Contractor's success at planning for and providing the
needed services (as detailed in the RFP.) A firm fixed-price contract
is expected to be awarded based upon the criteria set forth in the RFP,
which shall include an evaluation of the Offeror's past performance.
