This project replaces the existing 15kv, Oil-O-Static generator/ transformer leads, potheads and accessories from the powerhouse to the switch yard with new cables, support system, terminations and appurtenances. The Contractor will be required to drain the existing oil filled conduit system and dispose of the oil in the conduits as well as additional oil stored on site. Also, the Contractor is required to install a Linear Heat Detection System for the new cable supports system. The principal items of work include: demolition, high voltage electrical, fire protection and removal of fluid wastes. This job has a duration of 480 days and is estimated in the $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 range. This Solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. Solicitations will be available on or about 7 June 1996.
