Association Energy Efficiency Grants. The American Institute for
Pollution Prevention, in collaboration with the Department of Energy,
Office of Industrial Technologies, is soliciting grant applications
from national industry associations for the establishment or promotion
of voluntary energy efficiency improvement target programs. In order
to be eligible for a grant, industry associations must either have an
existing voluntary energy efficiency improvement program with
established efficiency improvement targets in place, or commit to
establishing such a program. It is expected that programs will have
significant energy & environmental benefits nationwide. Project
eligible for grants include, but are not limited to: 1) workshops, 2)
training seminars, 3) handbooks, 4) newsletters, 5) data bases and, 6)
other activities that directly support industrial process efficiency
and avoided waste and emission generation. An example would be
activities that support the Department of Energy, Environmental
Protection Agency Climate Wise/Climate Challenge Programs. Each
proposal submitted by an industry association will be reviewed and
evaluated against established criteria. A total of approximately
$380,000 is available for award. It is anticipated that 3-7 awards will
be made. Awards are expected to be between $50,000 and $250,000, with
the maximum award being $250,000. Grant funding cannot exceed 75% of
