The project is located at the Minnesota Air National Guard Base, Duluth International Airport and is to correct a severe problem with bricks falling off of two motor vehicle maintenance facilities resulting from excessive moisture in the wall cavities. The work to be performed is as follows: Bldg 265 will require approx. 12,000 SF of face brick to be removed and replaced and approx 115 square (100 SF) to remove and replace roofing. Bldg 266 will require approx 3,000 SF of face brick to be removed and replaced and approx 65 squares of remove and replace roofing. Both buildings will need various doors and windows replaced and also some repair to the roof drain systems. The solicitation will be available on or about 24 June 1996 with bid opening on or about 24 July 1996. Estimated price range of the proposed contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. A firm fixed-price contract is contemplated. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this work is 1741. The proposed contract is unrestricted regarding business size. All responsible sources my submit a bid which will be considered. Due to the limited number of specifications and drawings, suppliers and subcontractors may only request a list of planholders.
