SYNOPSIS# 0224-96, ---This is a market survey (request for information synopsis) issued by the U.S. Army to determine the existence of sources for the planned effort described below. ---Point of contact is: Karen Parmenter, ATTN: AMSMI-AC-CCA, Bldg 4488, Room C168, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5280. ---The proposed acquisition (ACQ) is for a quantity of 368 each HAWK Rocket Motors (HRM), Army Part Number (APN) 10242870, with an option for an additional 672 each rocket motors. ---The contractor shall also provide the following materials: Shorting Plug, APN 10242873, 1 per motor; Shipping container, APN 10688789, 1 per motor; 56 pounds Nitroguanidine, in accordance with (IAW) MIS-16404, for each motor; and motor metal parts, APN 10242884, 1 set per motor. ---The proposed ACQ requires that the conractor have extensive technical expertise and knowledge of the HAWK Missile System. ---A ''CONFIDENTIAL'' facility clearance is required. Contractor must implement and maintain an effective and economical quality program IAW ANSI-ASQCQ9001/ISO9001 AND 10012-1 or propose equivalent systems. ---All facilities and operations for manufacturing, handling, transporting, storing or testing ammunition explosives and related dangerous materials shall comply with DOD 4145.26M. ---Only U.S. Firms interested in this ACQ should send their name, address and brief information literature within two(2) weeks from the date of publication in CBD. ---The info should include, but not be limited to, its experience on the HAWK Missile System, corporate background, technical expertise and facilities available to accomplish the above task ---All responses should reference Synopsis Number 0224-96. ---This synpsis is to identify potential sources only; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. ---Respondents will not be notified of the results of this survey or results of evaluation of info submitted. ---Telephone inquires WILL NOT BE HONORED.
