Furnish all equipment and materials required for a complete SONET (Synchronous Optical Network) digital microwave radio system, which will be installed at two terminal sites and one repeater site. The equipment and materials to be furnished shall include major items - microwave radios, equipment racks, and antenna systems, including waveguides and feed assemblies. The estimated magnitude of this proposed acquisition is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The performance completion date is September 1, 1997. A presolicitation notice has been sent to all prospective contractors on Southwestern's mailing list. Southwestern will maintain a reasonable number of copies of this solicitation, and will provide, upon written request, a hardcopy at no charge, on a first-come-first-serve basis. The solicitation package will be provided to nine planrooms in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri; and Oklahoma. To receive a ``draft'' copy of the SONET digital microwave technical specifications for your review and comments notify either of the above point-of-contacts. This proposed acquisition is unrestricted and contains no set-aside provisions. No telephone requests for the solicitation package will be accepted. All responsible sources may submit an offer. There is a correction to the presolicitation notice dated April 30, 1996: A copy of the solicitation package on diskette is not available.
