Harman/Rakbs/513-255-2995 Item 0001 NSN 58PC-O - - The Air Force Technical Applications Center (HQ AFTAC), Patrick AFB is seeking contractors interested in Limited Engineering and Manufacturing (EMD) develop- ment and production of a ground-based particulate collection system to support the worldwide Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT). The system will be complet- ely automated to collect samples, perform on-site analysis, and provide auto- mated reporting for monitoring of the CTBT. AFTAC, working with the Department of Energy (DOE), has produced a Concept Demonstration System which will be used as the design basis for this monitoring system. Interested parties will further refine through limited development of this design, a economically manufactur- able and supportable system for CTBT with an EMD unit delivered by 31 Jul 97 and an initial production option of approximately 13 units to be delivered by 30 Sep 98.
