The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue orders on multiple occasions over the period of Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-96-G-5235 with Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems Division, 528 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 01776-3375. Orders will be issued for repair (including emergency repair), test and evaluation, alteration, overhaul, refurbishment and maintenance for the AN/SPS-49(V) Radar. This includes all material and services incidential to such work, such as: repair parts; components; accessories; documentation; associated tools; necessary packing, packaging and marking; storage; inventory functions and shipping and handling. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems Division, is the original designer, developer and sole producer of the AN/SPS-49(V) Radar. It is the only company which possesses the knowledge, experience, tooling and equipment necessary to perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
