283-1514(Fax). The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Tax Law Training
Section proposes to acquire, on a sole source basis, existing
Off-the-Shelf Continuing Based Training (CBT) format. A selection of 50
or more CBT modules, in tax law, auditing, and accounting is needed to
fulfill part of the CPE requirement for the revenue agent population.
The CBT modules are designed to update knowledge, fill in gaps of
knowledge, and go deeply into areas necessary for technical competence
and professional performance. The CBT modules are self-paced, include
complete instructions for use, a Technical Support Hotline, and
require no instructor support. All agents do not examine the same types
of issues. Each CBT module is designed for one to ten hours for CPE
credit. Approximately 17,223 CBT modules are needed. The CBT modules
shall be distributed to approximately 81 different sites nationwide.
This requirement has a base year plus four (4) twelve (12) month option
periods. TOPICS: Tax Law, Auditing and Accounting. The CBT modules will
be acquired from MicroMash, 6204 South Troy Circle, Englewood, CO
80111-6424. No RFP is available, however, vendors who believe they have
this capability should respond in accordance with Note 22. No oral
requests or questions for this RFP will be honored. Numbered Note 22
