This is a notice of intent to place multiple Blanket Purchase Agreements with local Hotel/Motel operations for the purpose of providing quarters on an ``as needed'' basis and for Operation Snowbird during Fiscal Year 1997. The selected properties must be located in the Tucson, AZ area and provide easy access to Davis-Monthan AFB and the Arizona Air National Guard Base located on the Tucson International Airport. The estimated requirements for quarters include: a) Annual Training/Pilot Training/visitors - 3500 room nights. b) Traditional Guardsmen during monthly Unit Training Assemblies - 180 single and 240 double room nights. c) Operation Snowbird - 800 single and 7150 double room nights. Operation Snowbird consists of 2 week tours with up to 55 double and 5 single rooms. Proposed FY 97 schedule: 03NOV-16NOV96, 01DEC-14DEC96, 05JAN-18JAN97, 19JAN-01FEB97, 02MAR-15MAR97, 16MAR-29MAR97, 30MAR-12APR97, 13APR-26APR97, 27APR-10MAY97, 11MAY-24MAY97.
