The work consists of installing approximately 3.23 miles of PVC membrane lining, installing 0.11 miles of earth lining, earthwork for reshaping 4.62 miles of lateral prism, constructing 0.22 miles of O&M road, furnishing and placing approximately 6.47 miles of gravel surfacing for O&M roads, furnishing and installing 41 CMP drain inlets, furnishing and installing approximately 0.35 miles of 2-inch through 48-inch pressure pipe with related earthwork, furnishing and installing approximately 6.16 miles of fencing, seeding approximately 30 acres, removing existing reinforced concrete hydraulic structures, and constructing miscellaneous concrete structures, which includes: ten culverts; two box culverts; three inlet structures; two road crossings; one division box; two pipe borings under US Highway 212; fourteen turnouts; and two blowoffs structures. The estimated price range of the work is $1,000,001 to $5,000,000. The work is situated in Butte County, South Dakota, from Nisland, South Dakota to nine miles west of Nisland. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available June 17, 1996. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before June 3, 1996. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for July 18, 1996, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Newell Field Office, 209 Dartmouth, Newell, South Dakota. The contract is to be completed by May 10, 1997. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance, the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the following offices of the Bureau of Reclamation: Newell Field Office or Great Plains Regional Office, Federal Building, Room 2031, 316 North 26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation.
