The work includes all material, equipment, labor and supervision, under a Firm Fixed Price Contract, for Building 264, working in the basement and in the 18'' deep crawlspace. Friable and non-friable asbestos pipe and fittings insulation shall be removed. All pipe shall be removed as indicated. Removal of soil and construction debris contaminated with asbestos and repiping existing fan coil units with preinsulated copper pipe. Entire area shall be sprayed with encapsulant following removals. The performance period for this work is 135 days after date of award. In addition, there will be an option which includes asbestos containing material (pipe and fitting insulation and sprayed on wall insulation) removal in a 6000 square foot area preenginered Building 337, and incidental related work. The performance period for work contained in the option is 120 days after the date the option is exercised. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this project is 1542. The related Small Business Size Standards is $17.0 million annual receipts for the preceding three fiscal years. The contract includes the clause titled ''Evaluation of Options'' (FAR 52.217-5) Except where it is determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the Government's best interest, the Government will evaluate offers for award purpose by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirements. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s) (End Of Provision).
