This is a pre-solicitation notice for the project entitled ``Repair Electrical Distribution System''. Successful contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, and services, and perform work necessary for the repair of the Electrical Distribution System for the Tennessee Air National Guard at McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, Tennessee. Contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals as required to repair the 13.2 KV primary electrical distribution at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Knoxville, Tennessee. Work is to include: replacement of direct buried cables with new primary cable in PVC duct; replacement of remaining overhead distribution system with new underground distribution system; addition of a main switch to transfer lead to backup feed from local utility company; and installation of new underground primary to support future expansion as detailed in the Base Master Plan. All of the work described above is to be accomplished within the compound of the Tennessee Air National Guard at McGhee Tyson Airport, Knoxville, Tennessee. Performance time is 270 calendar days. Plans and specifications will be available on or about June 14, 1996. A non-refundable certified check or money order is required for plans and specifications in the amount of $100.00 made payable to the Treasurer of the United States. The solicitation will be furnished at no cost. Plans and specifications will also be available for review at various plans houses within the state. Contractors should call the Contract Specialist listed above for these locations. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
