Presolicitation Notice. Replace HVAC, Bldg 946, Eglin AFB FL. Estimated date for bid opening is 18 Jul 96. Work consists of replacement of HVAC systems for the Communications and Electronics Shop, Bldg 946. The work includes an addition to the existing structure. The addition will include concrete foundations, slab on grade, and foundation of wall, concrete masonry load-bearing walls, steel bar joists, metal deck, rigid insulation, and built-up roofing, steel doors and frames, painting, metal siding fascia, acoustical tile ceilings, asbestos and lead-base paint abatement, minor sitework. Mechanical/electrical work includes removal of an existing roof top air conditioning unit, installation of a new chiller, boiler, air handler, and associated pumps and piping, new ductwork, associated electrical power and lighting. Asbestos abatement shall be performed by a contractor licensed by the State of Florida. Abatement of lead-base paint shall be performed strictly in accordance with all local, federal and state of Florida regulations. Performance period is 120 calendar days. Estimated dollar range is between $250,000 and $500,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
