of Mobilization, All Req'd-Lump Sum; Slurry Seal, Type 11 29, 300-Sq.
Yd.; Crack Cleaning and Sealing, 9,896-Lin.Ft.; Pavement Markings,
12'', Type J, 66-Lin.Ft. and Temporary Traffic Control, All Req'd-Lump
Sum. Work to be performed on the Swinomish and Tulalip Indian
Reservations, Island and Snohomish, Counties, Washington. Solicitation
No. R96-7. Project No. PSA 1004. Bid opening JULY 10, 1996 at 1:00 PM.
Duration of work 30 calendar days. Estimated cost range of project is
$25,000 - $100,000. This procurement is a total set-aside for firms 51
percent Indian-owned. Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (25 USC 450e) and
DIAR 1452-204-71 requires that preference opportunities in employment
and training be given to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that
preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska
Native economic enterprises. Failure by the contractor to submit a plan
for doing so prior to award and implement same after award shall be
sufficient reason for non-award or termination of the contract for
default. An Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises need only be 51
percent Indian/Alaska Native owned to qualify for subcontract
