Z -- COMPLETION OF JUVENILE FISH FACILITIES, MCNARY DAM, UMATILLA COUNTY, OREGON SOL DACW68-96-B-0010 DUE 071696 POC Contract Specialist Charlene Duncan (509) 527-7207 (Site Code DACW68) This solicitation is open to all businesses regardless of size. The work consists of a variety of modifications at the juvenile fish facilities including: 1) Fabricate and install steel ladders, handrailing, and bar grating. 2) Fabricate 36'' diameter steel pipelines and install new 36'' butterfly valves. Each pipe is approximately 40' long with bends. Three pipes required. 3) Fabricate aluminum water flumes and pipe transitions. 4) Install structural steel supports for new water piping systems and grating platforms. 5) Install new and modify existing PVC water lines 6'' to 10'' diameter complete with pipe supports and hangers. 6) Furnish new and modify existing pneumatic and electrical controls. 7) Electrical work includes motors (1hp), wire and cable, breakers, meters, cabinets, light fixtures, heaters, pushbuttons and control switches, and other items. 8) Compressed air systems including piping, hangers, lubricators, regulators, cylinders, filters, valves, and accessories. 9) Relocate existing diesel fuel hose reel enclosure and extend fuel line. 10) Install a drywell. 11) Install a steel door and frame in a masonry wall for access to restroom. 12) Minor amount of concrete drilling and cutting. 13) Modify HVAC condensate drains in the laboratory building. 14) Design, fabricate and install a prestressed concrete bulb tee. Length of tee is 120'. Width is 7'. Depth is 6'. Some work may be performed anytime. Most work must be performed when the facility is shutdown during the winter. Estimated cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Nonrefundable payment of $75.00 (Seventy-five) for plans and specifications to accompany request for solicitation. Check made payable to FAO, USAED, Portland. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 1629. The small business size standard is average annual receipt for its preceding three fiscal years must not exceed $17 million. If a large business is selected for this contract, it must comply with FAR 219-9 regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan on that part of the work it intends to subcontract. The intended subcontracting goals are that a minimum of 52.5% of the Contractor's intended subcontract amount be placed with small business (SB), including 8.8% with small disadvantaged business (SDB), and 3.0% with women-owned small businesses (WOB).
