The USDA, Food and Consumer Service (FCS) intends to issue a competitive procurement on or about June 17, 1996 for advisory and assistance services to conduct a study of its Summer Food Service Program. The study requires a survey of a nationally representative sample of program sponsors, sites and participants. Optional tasks include nutrient analyses of meals served by the program and an assessment of food safety at the sample sites. FCS estimates the level of effort required for this study to be approximately ten (10) professional person years. The two options are estimated to require approximately one (1) professional person year each. Offers will be due on or about July 17, 1996. All qualified organizations interested in receiving a copy of the Request for Proposal when it is issued must submit their request in writing and must include four (4) self-addressed mailing labels (not envelopes).
