Resource Center will present a training session to small businesses on
8 Aug 96 from 7:30 to 4:30 at the Command Conference Center, Bldg. 1,
U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center
(ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The National Contract Management
Association and the Acquisition Center, ARDEC are co-sponsoring this
event. The training covers not only the electronic commerce system our
facility is using but the system the entire federal government is
using. EDI will give you access to RFQs from every government buying
activity ($2500 - $100,000). It begins with an examination of FASA, the
legislation passed in 1994 that mandates government's transition to
Electronic Commerce. After establishing what EDI is and how it works,
suppliers will be informed about the specifics of how the federal
government is implementing EDI. The seminar includes a practical
hands-on examination of the tools of EDI: Value Added Networks and
software. The cost is $45.00 which includes lunch. If you have a
