Pre-Solicitation Notice: The work includes providing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision for the installation of a New Radio Fire Alarm System in Drill Hall buildings 800, 1000, 1200, and 1400, and all incidental related work including demolition of existing fire alarm system in the west end of Drill Hall 1400. The work may also include collecting and retaining of some lead and asbestos containing materials which shall be handled in accordance with Specification Sections 02081, ``Engineering Control of Asbestos Containing Materials'' and 02090, ``Removal and Disposal of Lead-Containing Paint''. Asbestos containing materials and areas of identified on the plans. A lead paint survey identifying areas containing lead paint is attached to Specification section 02090. Any drilling to secure fire alarm devices in the areas of lead paint in the walls or asbestos ceiling/floor tiles shall be handled by using High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) and glovebag techniques. All four drill halls and identical and are mainly used for physical exercises, drills and ceremonies. All four drill halls were built in 1942 and each have a total of 60,566 sq. ft. Buildings are also used as offices on each end, mainly the first and second floors, and the attic is mainly used as a storage area. All drill halls are of arched wood construction, approximately 100 ft. wide, 400 ft. long, and 42 ft. tall. This solicitation will be issued as an unrestricted procurement. Estimated construction cost range is $100,000.00 to $250,000.00. The performance period is 240 calendar days. The SIC Code for this procurement is 1799 and the size standard is $7.0M.
