The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has a requirement for the purchase of six Intelsat-qualified, Ku-band satellite terminals, associated spares, training, and maintenance. This procurement is 100% set-aside for small businesses under SIC 3663, Size Standard 750 employees. Although the Government does not preclude competitive proposals from qualified integrators under SIC 3663, our market survey indicated that the required integration is available from manufacturers and that therefore a manufacturer's SIC code would apply. A detailed Statement of Work and Specification will be released with the solicitation. The predecessor contract DCA100-95-D-0106 was awarded for a quantity of three terminals, the manufacturer is LNR Corporation, Hauppauge, NY. This is a follow-on procurement set-aside for competition between small business firms. The SOW and specification requirements are performance in nature, any manufacturer's equipment which meets the stated requirements of the SOW and specification may be proposed. Award will be to the lowest-overall priced, technically acceptable proposal from a responsible firm with favorable past performance on other contracts of this type.
