This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number DAAH01-96-T-0894 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. This acquisition is UNRESTRICTED. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ITEMS TO BE ACQUIRED: One (1) each Broadband High Power RF Linear Amplifier which will have the following minimum generic salient characteristics: FREQUENCY BANDWIDTH: 0.1 - 1000 MHz. MAXIMUM POWER OUTPUT: 100 watts CW minimum at 1 dB compression. CONSTRUCTION: Solid state, housed in a maximum of two enclosures mountable in a standard 19 inch instrument rack. GAIN: 50 dB nominal. GAIN FLATNESS: is less than or equal to 3.0 dB over entire specified frequency range. POWER STABILITY: Less than plus or minus 0.1 dB/5 minutes at full rated power. NOISE FIGURE: Less than or equal to 15 dB. INPUT DRIVE POWER: Less than or equal to 3 mW (CW) at full rated power. INPUT/OUTPUT IMPEDANCE: 50 ohms nominal. INPUT AND OUTPUT CONNECTORS: Type N female. HARMONIC DISTORTION: Less than or equal to -15.0 dBc at full rated power. NON-HARMONIC SPURIOUS DISTORTION: Less than or equal to -50.0 dBc at full rated power. INPUT SWR: Less than or equal to 3.0 : 1. OUTPUT SWR: Less than or equal to 3.0 : 1. AC POWER: 115 VAC (Plus or minus 10%), 60 Hz nominal. COOLING: Must include forced air cooling. Ambient (no fan) cooling is NOT acceptable. PROTECTION: Must include automatic shutdown protection for overtemperature. Must be capable of withstanding infinite VSWR at the output port without shutdown. Must have provision for automatic shutdown when reflected power exceeds preset limit. A front panel reset switch shall be included for recovery from this condition. MOUNTING: Must include provision for mounting in a standard 19 inch instrument rack. All controls must be located on front panel. Must include front panel ON/OFF switch and an ON/OFF status indicator light. Must include front panel indication of RF overdrive condition. Must include front panel indication of forward power, in Watts. DOCUMENTATION: Must include two (2) each operator's manual, schematics, and troubleshooting instruction. All items will be delivered within ninety (90) days after contract award. Deliveries shall be made F.O.B. Destination, to: Redstone Arsenal Support Activity, Installation Supply Activity Account, Bldg: 8022, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5330. Inspection/Acceptance shall be at Destination. The FAR provisions at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items, is applicable. FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items, is applicable. THe offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial items, is applicable. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible, responsive, technically acdeptable, and lowest priced offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageous to the Government. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Excutive Orders - Commercial Items, is applicable. Offers are due 14 June 1996, 2:30 P.M. CDT.
