Project includes: temporary traffic control; 500 ton minor asphalt concrete; 1,080 cuyd pumped grout; 770 ton untreated aggregate courses; 875 lnft earth berms; 500 cuyd excavation; 8,400 cuyd select borrow; 360 sqyd earthwork geotextiles; 88 ea drain pipes; 40 hr 1-1/2 cuyd hydraulic excavator; 5,800 cuyd keyed riprap, class 5; 900 lnft rock dowels; 2,600 lnft permanent pavement markings; 16 slry units seeding/mulching. This project is located approximately 40 miles northwest of Yakima, Washington. Work shall be completed by November 1, 1996. Estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Presolicitation Notices are being provided to firms on this agency's mailing list concurrently with the publication of this synopsis.----The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
