Perkins, Facilities Contract Specialist, 901/747-7628 The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide a new retrofit standing seam metal roof system installed over the existing built-up roof system. Areas of wet insulation shall be removed and replaced with new. Surface aggregate from the existing roof system shall be removed. The roof surface areas are approximately 205,225 square feet. The roof is divided into five roof areas by either an expansion joint or a change in elevation. A new lightning protection system shall be installed along with a new gutter and soffit system along the east and west sides of the building. A new modified bitumen membrane roof system, with a new gutter and soffit system shall be installed on the ten canopy areas along the east and west sides of the building. This same system shall be installed on the office addition along the north wall. The existing roofs shall be removed and new tapered insulation shall be installed along with the new roofs. The estimated cost range is between $775,000 and $825,000, with a construction completion date of 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Cost of the plans and specifications for this project is $35 per set, nonrefundable. Be sure to reference the subject solicitation number on your request.
