authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the Government intends
to purchase Attofluoro Ratiovision Image System. The Attofluoro
Ratiovision System shall have the following minimum required
specifications: The system shall have the capability of providing high
speed resolution simultaneously from up to 99 cells and shall provide
dual dye technology for analysis of simultaneous video acquisition,
analysis and viewing of ratio, single excitation and/or transmitted
light images; shall have calibrated excitation and/or emission
rationing with simultaneous background subtraction, shading correction
and exclustion with up to 99 Regions of Interest (ROI) plus
post-experimental analysis from stored images; shall have simultaneous
or sequential multi-dye capability; shall provide no less than 30 full
field image (512X480) ratios per second acquisition rates; shall have
Dual Dye Technology for analysis of simultaneous dual dye
experimentation such as FURA-2 and BCECF or FURA-2 and Cyclic AMP;
shall have ratio arc allowing continuous electronic control of lamp
intensity for UV applications; shall have a dual emission camera system
providing accuracy within one pixel, utilizing precise image
registration hardware and consisting of two ICCD camera systems; shall
have integrated atto data analysils software (AttoGraph) which shall
run on any stand alone PC; AttoGraph shall be integrated with AttoView
to allow flexible image viewing from experimental data sets; Uncage
and Photobleaching software functions shall be fully integrated; shall
have full digital control of ICCD cameras GAIN and BLACK levels via
computer; shall have capability for input of up to 8 analog channels,
for electrical recordings of physiological changes; shall have
integrated Macro facility for automating routines; and, host computer
shall have the following minimum characteristics: pentium processor
with 90Mhz clock, 3MB Video RAM, 1GB EIDE HD, 16 MB RAM, 2 serial
ports, 3 parallel ports, and shall include 4 GB video rate HD to allow
writing of images at 30 frames per second (up to 15 minutes shall be
recorded at video rate). It is the Government's belief that these
requirements can only be met by Carl Zeiss, Inc., Medical Consumer
Dept., One Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594. This is not a formal
solicitation. However, concerns that respond to this notice must
furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements
mentioned above. Sources demonstrating the capability to accomplish the
above, shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to
demonstrate their ability to perform. Information furnished shall
include enough material to perform a proper evaluation. Concerns
submitting material may at that time request a copy of the solicitation
when it becomes available. Respondents will not be notified of the
evaluation results. Closing date will be 45 calendar days after
