Requires capability for nitorgen, carbon dioxide, argon, and krypton, analysis gas. Requires pressure transducers with at least +- 0.15% accuracy and the following minimum absolute pressure specifications: torr transducer (0 - 1 mm Hg) with 5 x 10(-5) torr resolution; 10 torr transducer (1-10 mmHg) with 5 x 10(-4) torr resolution and 1000 torr transducer (10 - 950 mmHg) with 5 x 10(-2) torr resolution. Also requires constant temperature profile and accurate correction for thermal transpiration, independent degas and analysis ports for simultaneous sample preparation and data collection without cross-contamination or air contamination, cold traps for analysis and degas manifolds, and capability for long data acquisitions and large data point files.
