Logistics Command has a sole source requirement for two Gerber One Step
Blocking Systems, model Step I. The Navy intends to negotiate with
Gerber Optical Inc., South Windsor, CT. Unit shall be a robotic device
capable of preparing and blocking lenses for surfacing and finishing
in one automotive process. Unit must be capable of down loading
information from NOSTRA's production computer system for lens layout
and blocking. The lens alignment station must provide a view display
for job information to simplify lens alignment. The adhesives must be
non hazardous material. Delivery will be to Yorktown PA. This notice is
not a request for competitive proposals. Responses shall contain
sufficient documentation to establish a bonafide capability to fulfill
