Batlin, (303) 497-6320 Concerns having the capability to furnish the following supplies should give written notice by June 18, 1996. The proposed contract is for a transient event digitizer. The digitizer must: 1. Be able to digitize rapidly changing voltages having a maximum of 5 volts full scale. 2. Have an analog bandwidth of at least 4.5 GHz, that is, a risetime less than 80 picoseconds (ps). 3. Have a voltage resolution greater than 11 bits without averaging, 14 bits with averaging, and a maximum time resolution of 10 bits (1024 sample points/sweep) or higher. 4. Have a minimum time resolution equal to or less than 5 ps/point, that is, a sampling rate of at least 200 GigaSamples/sec (GS/s), and a required maximum time window equal to or greater than 100 microseconds. 5. Be capable of transmitting the digitized waveform data to a computer over the GPIB data bus. 6. The input must have a 50 ohm impedance and be dc coupled. 7. Have the capability that all of its functions can be manually controlled from its own front panel, that is, independent of the host computer. 8. Have a display unit that operates directly from the digitizer, that is, independent of the host computer. 9. The unit must be compatible with software which has already been written at Sandia Corporation for use with the Tektronix Model SCD 5000, Transient Event Digitizer. To be considered, respondents must submit written evidence substantiating that each of the above requirements can be met referencing Synopsis No. 52RANB60C036. Tektronix, Inc. of Englewood, CO is considered the only known qualified source to supply the required supplies. In the absence of other qualified sources, it is the intent of the Government to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) to Tektronix, Inc. as this source is considered to be the only responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a formal solicitation. Interested firms and/or individuals may request to receive a copy of the solicitation when/if it becomes available. This notice may represent the only official notice of such a solicitation. (0151)
