70 -- COMMERCIAL ON-LINE RETRIEVAL SERVICES SOL DTOS59-97-Q-SVC-180-0001 POC Daniel Telep Jr., 202/366-6699, Contracting Officer The U.S. Dept. of Transporation (DOT) intends to issue a Delivery Order against a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA), for commercial on-line database and information retrieval services established by the Federal Library and Information Network (FEDLINK). Services shall cover one base year for the period Oct. 1, 1996 - Sept. 30, 1997, and shall include four (4) option years. FEDLINK is a cooperative program sponsored by the Federal Library and Information Center. Using FEDLINK BOAs, federal agencies may obtain database and information retrieval services directly from commercial services. These BOAs offer substantial price discounts not otherwise available to individual customers. FEDLINK operates under the Library of Congress Delegation of Procurement Authority, granted by the General Services Administration. The Delivery Order will be issued with LEXIS/NEXIS under the interagency agreement, executed by DOT/TASC and the Library of Congress.
