Present contractor provides technical assistance to the Philippines Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The original contract was for 3 years. However in view of the remaining tasks that need to be accomplished, the contract is proposed for a 9-month extension. During the extension, contractor shall among other tasks, help SEC adopt thr net capital rule and assist in responding to concern raised by the community to fully implement the full disclosure rule. This is a no cost modification which shall involve an increase in the LOE by 21 person-months. Due to potential impacts on project continuity such as familiarization/learning curve and additional costs for mobilization, we expect to award to the present contractor unless other cost effective, more qualified group is identified.
