C. White 919/736-6548/241. This project includes but it is not limited
to the following: The Contractor shall provide all personnel,
equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services
necessary to perform pathology referral services as defined in the
Statement of Work. The Contractor shall ensure that employees have the
following current and valid professional certifications before
starting work: All pathologists shall be board verified by the College
of American Pathologists. All laboratory technicians shall be
certified by either the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the
US Department of Health, Education and Welfare, or other equivalent
organization. The Contractor shall ensure peer review methods are
adequate and in accordance with local standards of care. The Contractor
shall provide (either written or verbally) to the government upon
request the method of peer review utilized. The Contractor shall
maintain a normal defined set of customer service hours and provide
those to the government. On occasion, services may be required to
support an emergency medical situation outside of the normal customer
hours as described by the contractor. The Contractor shall provide
emergency services on a 24 hour basis for pathology specimen and frozen
section analysis. The Contractor shall provide or pathology
consultation for specimens examined. The Contractor shall provide
analysis of biopsies, cell blocks, and tissue specimens with a 48 hour
turn-around time. The Contractor shall provide 5 copies of each report
submitted for pathology analysis. The Contractor shall perform frozen
section analysis of specimens submitted and provide telephone results
to the Surgical suite at Seymour Johnson AFB within 15 minutes after
receipt of the specimen. The Contractor shall comply with all College
of American Pathology (CAP) Laboratory Standards and maintain a current
certification with CAP. A copy of such certification should be provided
to the government. The Contractor shall provide to the government
slides of all cases and upon request, if available, blocks of any case
requested. The Government shall collect and/or provide all
pathological specimens to the Contractor for analysis. Oral quotes can

24 Jun 96. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside. All
