The complex is located on a 52,739.56 square meter (approximately 13 acre) parcel of land adjacent the National Biological Service Science Center at the University Research Park, University of Southwestern Louisiana, Lafayette, Louisiana. The main building is approximately 5,400 square meters (58,100 Sq. Ft.) with five additional structures totaling 1,100 square meters (11,800 Sq. Ft.). The building will be poured in place, reinforced concrete foundations and floor slabs; steel frame and barjoist superstructure; modified bitumen, roof masonry curtain wall and metal panel exterior walls. Work includes but is not limited to excavation, earthfill, compaction, grading and drainage, construction of the new building, coordination of and connection to public utilities, paving and landscaping.
