the complete renovation and rehabilitation of Building 15 and ajoining
site including construction of a temporary trailer site for relocation
of building occupants into temporary trailers, including all utilities,
platforms, ramps, restrooms, spaces layout, walls and amenities;
abatement of asbestos, PCB's, and lead paint; demolition and removal of
interior and exterior finishes, walls windows, floor, insulation,
mechanical systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, fire alarm
system, telephone and data systems; demolition and removal of paved
areas and concrete features; removal of abandoned steam piping system
in tunnels below the building; construction of new interior walls,
ceilings, finishes, exterior finishes, windows, fire sprinkler system,
fire alarm system, electrical lighting and power system, communication
and data mechanical systems, plumbing systems, roof; construction of
the new utility services including gas, water, sewer and electric;
construction of boiler room addition to building 15A, utility trenches,
mechanical yard with chiller, pumps and piping, electrical yard with
main distribution equipment, high voltage switchgear, stanby diesel
generator and fuel system; and incidental related work complete and
ready for use.--The estimated cost is between 1,000,000 and 5,000,000.
-- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately
365 calendar days. -- This proposed contract will be unrestricted.--The
Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the annual size standard is 17
million. --It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a
minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting
effort.--NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20
mile radius of the issuing office.--A fee will be charged for all
plans and specs.--Each set will cost $53.26.--Mail requests to
Southwest Division, Naval Facilities Engineering Command (Plan Issue),
1220 Pacific Highway, Bldg. 132, San Diego, CA 92132-5187, with a
check payable to DEFENSE PRINTING SERVICE.--Fees are NOT
refundable.--Solicitation packages may be acquired in person from Plan
Issue.--Submit one (1) check per project.--Solicitation packages are
limited to two (2) per prime and one (1) per
subcontractor/supplier.--Telephone requests will not be
accepted.--Requests for the solicitation package must be in writing
stating solicitation number N68711-93-B-1406, complete name, address,
area code and phone number and whether bidding as a
prime/subcontractor/supplier.--Plan holders lists will not be
faxed.--Plans and specifications will be available on or about 10 June
