F -- SITE DEMOLITION AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION, GOLDEN FALCON MILL SITE, YUMA, ARIZONA SOL 1425-6-SI-30-12200 POC Ms. Sonja Poindexter, Procurement Technician, at 702-293-8569; Synopsis No. 96-22 Work to be performed under this solicitation includes the demolition and disposal of wood frame buildings, demolition of concrete slabs, leveling of earth embankments, and restoration of desert environment. The principal features of the work include the following: (a) Preparation of a site safety plan; (b) Preparation of a disposal plan for various hazardous and nonhazardous wastes; (c) Excavation, loading, hauling and disposal of cadmium and lead contaminated materials; (d) Disposal of drums containing material contaminated with amenable cyanide; (e) Disposal of drums containing material contaminated with high levels of metals; (f) Disposal of drums containing material contaminated with petroleum products; (g) Transportation and disposal of drums at a class III landfill; (h) Excavation, loading, hauling and disposing of diesel-contaminated soil; (i) Decontamination, demolition and disposal of buildings and building contents; (j) Demolition and disposal of concrete building slabs; (k) Decontamination, demolition and disposal of concrete lining in irrigation pond; (l) Leveling of irrigation pond embankments; (m) Collection and disposal of debris from homestead site; (n) Removal and disposal of a chain link fence; (o) Abandoning two water wells; (p) Leveling the site; and (q) Preparation of final report. The location of this project is located approximately 10 miles south of Yuma on County 23rd Street, 3/4 mile west of Avenue B in Yuma County, Arizona. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is 8/1/96. The estimated date for receipt of bids is 9/3/96. This solicitation is a total Small Business Set-Aside. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is8744 and the small business size standard is $3.5 million.
