Contract period 12 Aug 96 through 12 Sep 96. Work consists of drydocking for (1) hull painting of underwater metallic surfaces (2) hull repairs and (3) mechanical repairs. Work to be performed at the Contractor's facility. Solicitation area is homeport of Ingleside, Texas to SUPSHIP Charleston homeport area. Solicitation will be issued on or around 12 Jun 96. Characteristics of ship: length overall 224 feet 2 3/4 inches; breadth 38 feet 7 3/16 inches; displacement (full load) 1286 long tons; navigational draft at keel (full load) 11 feet 6 inches; protrusions below keel (at zero trim) 8 1/2 inches. Sources who currently hold and Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) prior to award, may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. Firms which do not possess an ABR are ineligible for award unless adequate time exists to permit the Navy to perform an assessment of their ABR application and to execute the ABR without impacting the vessel's availability dates.
