The task includes (1) the collation and centralization of existing historical documents in the Agency's possession; (2) the identification of DMA-related documentation, including still and motion picture records, in the historical archives of US armed services in Washington, DC. The candidate shall have an earned Ph.D. in history from a nationally and state accredited university. Sample of a published work will be required. DMA requirement is to include research in the archives of the Defense Mapping Agency at Merrifield, VA, Bethesda, MD, St. Louis, MO, and at military historical divisions of the Army, Navy, Air Force and National Archives all located in Washington DC. Traveling is a requirement.
