The PCM multiplexer/demultiplexer shall be Apogee Model Number BC3432-10, or equal, in accordance with the following specifications: shall include (1) Inputs:TTL with BNC connector, data (NRZ-L or Bi-phased-L), clock 0 degree, 100K BPS to 8M BPS per channel, 5 ea. (data and clock), all channels combined input,(3OMBPS; compatible with Metrum VLDS recorders, data (RNRZ-L & clock), 32 MBPS fixed. (2) Output:TTL with BNC connectors, data NRZ-L) & clock, output data rate equal input data rate, clock jitter (.1% of bit rate, channel to channel SKEW ( 20 bits. This unit shall be a stand-alone system requiring no remote control or setup or front panel intervention by an operator to MUX and DEMUX data within the above specifications. This system will be designed for a 19-inch rack system. Front panel shall provide indicators for MUX and DEMUX channel activity and also provide a method for loop back test. This synopsis is being issued to solicit quotations from vendors desiring to furnish the above described item(s) to the Government at the address set forth below. FOB Destination Pricing is requested. Vendors submitting quotes on an equal to the Apogee Labs unit specified above should furnish the manufacturer and model number for the unit they propose to furnish and send a spec sheet/descriptive literature with their quote. Written quotations in response to this request for quotation (RFQ) should be submitted to the attention of the individual(s) at the address set forth above not later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern on 06/24/1996. No additional solicitation package will be issued. Delivery to NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center, Wallops Flight Facility, Wallops Island, VA 23337 is required 90 days after award of a purchase order. Award is anticipated to be made within 7 calendar days after the closing date of the RFQ and will be made to the responsible firm submitting the lowest responsive quote.
