66 -- SOLID-STATE MILLIMETER-WAVELENGTH AMPLIFIER SOL RFP536-6-96 DUE 072396 POC Contracting Officer, George D. Dick, 617/495-7401, FAX 617/496-7692 Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) requires one solid-state millimeter-wavelength amplifier. The amplifier should operate throughout the frequency range 90 - 115 GHz, and should provide a minimum gain of 10 dB over the entire frequency range with a gain of 17 dB over the central portion, 10 GHz wide. Although low-noise is relatively important, in this application it is essential that the amplifier handle relatively high level input signals. In particular, the amplifier should be capable of providing up to 13 dBm of output power with only 1 dB of gain compression.
