The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia, intends to acquire through other than full & open competition, on a SOLE SOURCE BASIS with United Technologies Inc., Hamilton Standard Division of Windsor Locks, CT, non-personal Contractor Engineering and Technical Services (CETS) by qualified Field Service Personnel for the purpose of Informing, Instructing and Training Department of Navy Personnel in the Installation, Operation and Maintenance of the following Navy and Marine Corps weapons, equipment and systems: Propellers for T56-A-7/10/14/426/427 engine systems, fuel controls associated with T64-GE-100-413/415/416/416A and associated equipment. The proposed procurement consists of two (2) Tasks: 31990 and 02310. The tasks will be for a base period of one (1) year with an Option for one (1) additional year. The base Period of Performance will be from 01 September 1996 through 31 August 1997. This contract covers the Government's minimum needs. The solicitation will contain specifications for Contractor Field Representatives as appropriate. The places of performance are NADEP Cherry Point/NAESU Det Cherry Point (Task 31990) and NAS Norfolk/Naesu Det Norfolk (Task 02310). The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with United Technologies Inc., Hamilton Standard Division of Windsor Locks, CT., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Hamilton Standard is the only supplier of these services at this time. This notice of intent is NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
