V -- AIR MOBILITY EXPRESS (AMX) CONTRACTED HUB SERVICE Sol F11626-96-R0016 due 080196. Contact Henry Molnar, Contract Specialist, 618/256-6454. Air Mobility Express (AMX) services to include personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and all items necessary for receiving, handling and palletization of outbound/retrograde international cargo at contractor owned/operated commercial hub for air transportation via Air Mobility Command (AMC) organic, Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF) or US sponsored Foreign Government aircraft. Services include unloading of arriving cargo, palletization, storage and loading the palletized cargo on AMC aircraft. Retrograde cargo transported back to the contractor hub shall be handled the same as originating international cargo. Contractor shall not be required to unload/load cargo at any final destinations under the contract. The system may be exercised annually, at a minimum, for up to a two week duration and shall be activated during national contingencies. In addition, the contractor shall provide adequate office space and parking for AMC contingent (approximately 8-10 persons) at the contractor hub to be on-site during activation. The contractor shall be responsible for cargo when under their control. The contractor shall commence operations no later than 72 hours from notice of activation. The contract period of performance is 1 Oct 96 or subsequent date of award through 30 Sep 97, with three one year options. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. (155)
