Clark (310) 725-7563 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement to replace existing heating and cooling equipment at the Santa Ana Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), Costa Mesa, California. The Contractor shall furnish labor, equipment, transportation, and materials to perform the following work. Work shall consist of, but not limited to: removing existing fan coil units, condensing units, piping, controls and other items in strict accordance with FAA specifications and drawings. The estimated performance period shall not exceed sixty (60) calendar days. The FAA will issue solicitations to four (4) Prequalified Offerors and six (6) additional interested offerors for Request for Offer (RFO) #DTFA08-96-B-04638. Solicitations shall be issued on a ''first come'' basis only. Interested Offerors have until June 14, 1996 to submit their request for the solicitation to the attention of Alice Clark, via letter, to the address listed above or FAX to (310) 536-8550. Only Ten (10) solicitations will be issed for this project. FOR FUTURE PROCUREMENTS OF THIS TYPE: Individuals interested in being prequalifed for future air conditioning installation/replacement procurements of this type have until July 1, 1996 to FAX their name and address to the above FAX number. PLEASE NOTE: The notice below is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization(OSDBU), has a program to assist minority women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
