Z -- DEMOLITION AND REPLACEMENT OF BLDG. 264 AND 281, NAVAL STATION, MAYPORT, FL Sol. Contract N62467-95-B-2540. Due 070296. POC: OICC Office. The work includes the demolition of two existing Quonset huts (Buildings 264 and 281) and the construction of a new 4,960 SF pre-engineered, rigid frame, metal storage building on a concrete slab. The new building will be constructed at the present location of Building No. 281. The slope away from the building will be a minimum of 2%, the cargo and personnel doors will be provided with flash access to the pavement outside the building. The new building will have two (2) cargo doors, two (2) personnel doors, two (2) roof mounted exhaust fans, and a fire sprinkler system. The lighting system will be high pressure sodium lamps in Government supplied industrial low bay fixtures. Exit lights and alarm system will be provided. The project includes the demolition of asphalt pavement and miscellaneous concrete slabs. New asphalt paving (4,000 SF area and a 10' strip around the building) will be provided. The existing above-ground indicator valve will be replaced with a flush gate valve with a cast iron, traffic-rated cover. The existing fire hydrant and associated gate valve will be relocated to improve vehicle access to the building. Bid opening date listed in item 10 is approximate.
