SKIPPER, (912) 767-1868 (Site Code DAKF10) The Army requires a contract for Replace Railroad Crossings at Highway 196 and 84, Fort Stewart, GA. The work includes: (1) All demolition and sitework necessary to take out existing rubber railroad crossing, meet contract specifications and drawings. (2) Install precast concrete modular crossing to include subgrade and base required as per the drawings and specifications. Manufacturers representative must be present during installation. (3) Install new continuous 115 pound rail through the crossing. Adjust for new elevations as necessary. (4) Contractor shall accomplish all work necessary to overlay with asphalt the section as per drawings and specifications. This work includes restriping to match existing conditions. (5) Contractor shall perform all work on one half of each crossing before beginning the other half so that traffic will continue to flow. One crossing shall be finished before work on the other crossing begins. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. SIC for this project is 1629. Performance shall be completed within 90 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. All responsible business concerns may submit a bid which will be considered.
