The project provides for the renovation of 20 appropriated kitchen and adjoining utility rooms (10 buildings), including demolition of existing kitchen and utility room floors, cabinets, walls, some mechanical and electrical items. installation of new vinyl flooring, wood base and crown molding wood stud, gypsum board wall and furring, painting kitchen cabinets and tops, some appliances, and some mechanical and electrical items. Of these items, the range, range hood and disposal should be optional bid items. Some existing floor tiles contain asbestos. Units may be occupied during construction and occupied area shall be sealed off from work area. Work shall be limited from 0730 hrs to 1630 hrs. Anticipated issue date 17 June 1996. Anticipated opening date 17 July 1996. This contract will have a performance period 210 calendar days which includes 30 days to start. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.
