Under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, the National Institutes of Health (NCI) intends to procure a Model GS- 505 Molecular Imager PC System from Bio-Rad Laboratories, Life Science Group, 2000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA 94547. The molecular imager must be capable of quantitating simultaneously radioactivity and chemiluminescence, to have high dynamic range and resolution, to be used by multiple users and be efficiently controlled by a computer, which also will allow quantitative analysis of the data. Do to space limitations the dimensions are not to exceed 11 X 25 X 22. It is the Government's belief that these requirements can only be met by Bio-Rad, Life Sciences Group. The aforementioned Bio Rad, Life Sciences Group model is the only known piece of equipment which can image both radioactivity and chemiluminescence. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, if an interested party believes they can meet the above specifications, they must submit their capabilities, and furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources demonstrating the capability to accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to perform. Information furnished shall include enough material to perform a proper evaluation.
