D -- MAINFRAME UPGRADE SOL 96-132(N) POC Contact Christine Dauer at (404)842-6553 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in Atlanta, Georgia, requires an upgrade of its 9021 IBM mainframe. Upgrade requires Contractor to provide all electronic components and cabinetry required to upgrade model 640 LIC' 9021 ES/9000 processor to a model 740 LIC' processor. Contractor will provide transportation and installation of the entire upgrade. Used equipment is acceptable, provided the equipment is certified as acceptable for maintenance by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Only IBM equipment is acceptable (FIRMR 201-30.601-3). Delivery of this upgrade must occur by August 1,1996. This solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is June 25, 1996.
