V -- COMPUTER CENTER RELOCATION SOL 24-6-220 POC Donna Souders, 301/457-1810 The Bureau of the Census (BOC) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with CS Technology Inc., of 6100 Chevy Chase Drive, Laurel, MD 20707 for the planning and assisting in the BOC relocation/consolidation effort of the Charlotte NC and Suitland, MD Computer Centers into the Bowie, MD facility. This effort shall be performed in reasonable time,minimizing the risk of degraded operation due to system failure. The output must include a step-by-step relocation process in the form of an Implementation Schedule. Many internal logistics issues must be coordinated, such as: movement of materials, installation of telecommunications circuits and components, services of equipment vendors, etc. Must use Microsoft Project. Procedures must be established in many areas, so that they may be standardized, published and understood by all participants well in advance of the relocation. Chief among these considerations are: identification/labeling, dismantling, transportation and testing. Must have an established track record for computer center relocations. This phase must not extend beyond December 1996. This is not a notice of issuance of a formal solicitation, however, interested concerns may submit a capabilities statement furnishing sufficient information which demonstrates its ability to meet this requirement. This information will be considered only if clear and convincing evidence, including pricing data is provided, that interested concerns can meet the requirements of the Government and that it is advantageous for the Government to consider such concerns.
