PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The work includes surface preparation, priming and interior painting of walls, floors, ceilings, doors, stairs, cabinets, shelving and other miscellaneous items as directed in certain rooms and areas of various buildings and structures. Also included is surface preparation, priming and painting of exterior surfaces and complete painting of exterior surfaces, walls, doors, stairwells, columns and trim. Surfaces to be painted include new and previously painted surfaces. Also included is encapsulating lead based paint surfaces, removal and disposal of lead-containing paint of various buildings and structures, basewide, including housing areas at the Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton and Naval Ordnance Center, Pacific Division, Fallbrook Detachment, Fallbrook, California and incidental related work. The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled for 2:00 P.M., local time, July 30, 1996 at Building 22101, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA. SIC - 1721, Painting Contractors. The contract minimum is $25,000 and the estimated price range is more than $10 million. The contract term is for a period of one year with two additional option periods (up to 12 months each) possible. Award is not restricted to small businesses. Large businesses will be required to submit a subcontracting plan. Plans and specifications will be available approximately June 27, 1996 on a first come, first served basis until supply is exhausted.
