Sauceda (913) 239-0472, Contract Specialist Julie Bowell (913) 239-0461 (Site Code DAKF19) The Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials and transportation to perform the following work: Perform demolition and construction for replacement of HVAC system including new HVAC equipment, ductwork, wiring, duct enclosures and attic mechanical room. Perform transformer replacement and associated exterior wiring, asbestos abatement, lead-based paint abatement, moving & storage of furniture, touch-up printing, and other work necessary to support HVAC work. There are seven option items the first is as follows: Perform work for code compliance issues including construction of basement egress, central stair enclosure, upgrade/replacement of 30 corridor doors, rebuilding of south building entrance, replacement of kitchen exhaust system, installation of exit and emergency lighting. Option 2: Refurbish 2nd floor. Option 3: Correct drainage problems. Option 4: Install new door card lock system. Option 5: Install new doorbell intercom system. Option 6: Rebuild south entrance. Option 7: Install carpet. Proposed contract will be a firm fixed price contract. Sealed Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 25 Jun 96 and bid opening will be held on or about 25 Jul 96. Estimated cost of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1522. The procurement is unrestricted. The small business size standard for this project is $17.0 Mil.
